This session was one for the books! When you hear “extended family session,” you might think 10-15 people—but this group had 44 family members gathered together in the gorgeous Nephi Canyon. With breathtaking mountain views and the most perfect weather, it truly was an unforgettable day.
Big Family, Big Memories
Coordinating 44 people might sound like a challenge, but with a little planning and a lot of patience, it turned into such a fun experience. There was plenty of laughter, a little chaos, and yes—plenty of treat bribery for the kids! These moments are what make extended family sessions so special. They’re not meant to be flawless; they’re meant to capture real connections and genuine joy.
We started by photographing the whole group together with those stunning mountain backdrops. Then, we broke things down into smaller family groups, couples, and even grandparents with grandkids. These smaller moments really help tell the full story of your family and create images everyone will treasure.
